Today is a special day as the trailer for the highly anticipated movie, “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,” has been released. During a recent film promotion, Prashanth Neel shared the genesis of Salaar, revealing, “The idea for Salaar came to me 15 years ago. After my first film, Ugram, I became engrossed in KGF, which took nearly 8 years to create. We began planning KGF, and by the time its second part released, 8 years had passed. The concept for Salaar was already brewing in my mind. During the Covid period, when KGF 2 was delayed, we found ourselves with ample time at home. That’s when I delved into it.”

Salaar is slated to hit theaters on December 22, a day after Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki, setting the stage for a fierce box office clash. Addressing this, Neel expressed to The Times Of India, “No filmmaker wants a clash, be it with a newcomer or a veteran like Shah Rukh Khan. But it’s unpleasant to shift your release date to accommodate someone else’s.
