Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film, Housefull 5, has undergone a rescheduling. Due to extensive VFX requirements, its release has been shifted to 2025. Akshay Kumar shared the news about Housefull 5’s updated release date on his social media platforms. Promising ‘five times’ the entertainment, he announced, “Get ready for five times the fun! Catch it in theaters on June 6, 2025.

The official statement from the makers of Housefull 5 expresses their gratitude to the audience for the immense success of the franchise. They are aiming for a similar reception for the fifth installment and have revealed that it will have an intricately crafted storyline that requires top-tier VFX. In order to ensure an exceptional cinematic experience and five times the entertainment, the release of the movie has been postponed.

Sajid Nadiadwala is supporting this film, which is directed by Tarun Mansukhani. Initially, Riteish Deshmukh was the only confirmed actor from the previous Housefull films, having been a part of the franchise journey with Akshay Kumar since 2010. The return of Housefull promises a fresh cast lineup.

The first two Housefull films were directed by Sajid Khan, while Housefull 3 was helmed by Sajid-Farhad. The fourth and most recent installment had Farhad Samji as the sole director.

The initial installment starred Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, Jiah Khan, Boman Irani, and Chunky Pandey alongside Akshay and Riteish. The sequel introduced John Abraham alongside Asin and Jacqueline Fernandez, with the late Rishi Kapoor also joining the ensemble.

Housefull 3 welcomed Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline, Nargis Fakhri, and Lisa Haydon into the mix. Housefull 4 introduced a completely new lineup, including Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, and Kriti Kharbanda, while Akshay and Riteish retained their roles.

Akshay’s most recent appearance was in Mission Raniganj. Apart from Housefull 5, he’s set to star in the Hindi adaptation of Soorarai Pottru and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Additionally, he’s lined up for Hera Pheri 3.
