Hrithik Roshan reveals his Fighter character, Patty, also known as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, promising an intriguing dive into this dynamic persona

Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming film ‘Fighter’ is scheduled for release on January 25 next year. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the movie also features Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor in prominent roles.

The much-awaited introductory poster of Hrithik Roshan from his upcoming film ‘Fighter’ has finally arrived! Taking to his Instagram handle on Monday, the actor unveiled the first look of his character in the movie. Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘Fighter’ features Hrithik alongside Deepika Padukone.

In the debut glimpse, Hrithik exudes fierceness and handsomeness in his uniform. Detailing his character Patty, also known as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, he captioned it: ‘Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, Call Sign: Patty. Designation: Squadron Pilot, Unit: Air Dragons. Fighter Forever 🇮🇳

In response to Hrithik Roshan’s first look from ‘Fighter,’ his colleagues and fans couldn’t help but express their excitement. Farhan Akhtar, who directed Hrithik in ‘Lakshya’ and co-starred with him in ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara,’ complimented him by saying, ‘Looking sharp!’ Pooja Hegde, his co-star from ‘Mohenjo Daro,’ was in awe and exclaimed, ‘I mean… HOW so fine?!!!!

‘ Meanwhile, girlfriend Saba Azad cheered him on with ‘Go patty!!!’ accompanied by fire emoticons. Fans also joined in, with one noting that ‘Age doesn’t matter for this guy, just like fine wine.’ Another praised, ‘Goat Hrithik Roshan is back!’ and expressed their excitement for a blockbuster next year. The motion poster for ‘Fighter’ was released on Independence Day 2023, featuring Hrithik, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor as Indian Air Force officers.

Hrithik tweeted, ‘Spirit of Fighter | Vande Mataram! See you in the theatres on the eve of India’s 75th Republic Day. ‘Fighter’ releases worldwide on 25th January 2024.’ This film marks Hrithik’s reunion with Siddharth Anand after ‘Bang Bang!’ and ‘War,’ and the third collaboration between Deepika Padukone and the director.

Hrithik has put in a lot of effort to transform his physique for the character in the film. He has been keeping his fans updated on his fitness journey through Instagram, sharing videos and pictures. Recently, he posted a video from his gym session where he mentioned that his friend and trainer Kris Gethin will be heading back home to the US soon. With 10 more weeks to go for the second phase of his training and already 6 months of intense hard work, Hrithik feels incredibly satisfied, motivated, and in sync with the process. This journey is not just about building muscles, but also about nurturing the heart and mind.

The announcement for the film was made in January 2021. Originally, Fighter was planned to hit theaters in September 2022. Unfortunately, the pre-production process faced delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. But now, Fighter is set to release on the eve of Republic Day, specifically on January 25, 2024
