Recently, Himansh Kohli, known for his role in ‘Yaariyan’, has been visible in music videos. Now, he’s gearing up to captivate movie audiences with his upcoming project titled ‘Gahvara’. Notably, this 27-minute short film is set to debut at the 29th Kolkata International Film Festival.

Happy Cow Films and the actor announced the news on their respective social media platforms. The production company shared, “Join us for the screening of our short film, ‘Gahvara,’ at KIFF 2023 on December 8th & 12th. Don’t miss out—see you there!”

Regarding the short film, it’s directed by Tariq Mohammad and produced by Neeru Kohli. The story explores themes of loss, tradition, and personal growth. It follows Farhan (25), who fulfills his grandmother’s final wish by crafting a new funeral bier for her burial. Despite family conflicts over its necessity, Farhan’s mother is particularly troubled by the bier’s construction.

Recently seen in music videos, Himansh Kohli is now set to capture moviegoers’ attention with ‘Gahvara’. This 27-minute short film is set to premiere at the 29th Kolkata International Film Festival.

Making the official announcement, both Happy Cow Films and the actor shared the news on their respective social media platforms. The production banner wrote, “Catch our short film, ‘Gahvara,’ at KIFF 2023 on December 8th & 12th. Don’t miss the screening–see you there!”

Directed by Tariq Mohammad and produced by Neeru Kohli, ‘Gahvara’ delves into themes of loss, tradition, and personal growth. The storyline revolves around Farhan (25), who fulfills his grandmother’s final wish by crafting a new funeral bier for her burial. Family conflicts arise regarding its necessity, particularly concerning Farhan’s mother’s feelings about the bier’s construction.

His intense focus on his grandmother strains his relationship with his girlfriend, Nargis, leading to tense moments during their visit. Tragic events unfold when Farhan discovers his father’s sudden passing, sending him into a profound emotional turmoil that reshapes his outlook on life.

Expressing his experience portraying Farhan in the movie, Himansh said, “Portraying Farhan in ‘Gahvara’ has been an emotionally stirring journey, exploring themes of loss, family dynamics, and personal transformation.
