Junior Mehmood’s Demise: Another heart-wrenching loss hits the Hindi film industry as beloved character artist Junior Mehmood passes away. He had been battling cancer and passed away at 67 on Thursday night. Known as Naeem Syed in real life, he earned the moniker Junior Mehmood due to his resemblance to the famous Bollywood comedian Mehmood. His final rites will take place at Juhu Muslim Cemetery, Santacruz West, at 12 noon.
Junior Mehmood had been fighting liver and lung cancer in its advanced stage. The news of his passing has prompted an outpouring of condolences from fellow cine celebrities on social media.
