Aishwarya Rai showered praise on Agastya Nanda’s debut film, ‘The Archies,’ which premiered on Netflix this week. Agastya played Archie in the film, joined by Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi Saigal, and Yuvraj Menda. In a post-premiere video, Aishwarya expressed her admiration, calling the film ‘wonderful’ and extending her congratulations to the entire team.

Abhishek Bachchan also appeared in the video, sharing how the movie evoked nostalgia by taking them back to their youth spent reading Archies comics. Other stars like Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, and Bhumi Pednekar also shared their reviews.

Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’ premiered on Netflix on December 7, promising a nostalgic journey. This Indian adaptation of the American comic book series is set in the fictional town of Riverdale, bringing to life beloved characters like Archie, Veronica, Betty, Reggie, Dilton, Jughead, and Big Ethel in a 1960s hill town. Discussing the film, Zoya told PTI, “Fans seek nostalgia and familiarity, but today’s generation, unfamiliar with the comics, needs something engaging. We’ve blended themes relevant to Gen Z with nostalgia to craft this film.
